Villa III is a “convertible” home and studio that fills a triangular site. The three-sided, three-and-a-half story house can be expanded to suit the needs of different owners. The bedrooms face linear gardens on the ground level. The main living areas are on the second floor.
A studio, reached by an entry on the secondary street, can be integrated into the house as a master bedroom suite. A ground-floor studio can be linked to an adjacent garage to create a two-car, drive-through garage.
The entire ensemble is “protected” by a three-story, seemingly freestanding steel wall with punched openings through which portions of the house penetrate outward.
